McClain Delaney Receives Endorsement from Maryland Governor Moore and All of Maryland’s Democrat Congressional Delegation as She Commits to Lowering Costs, Protecting Healthcare, Hunger Assistance, & Working to Protect Maryland Families
Gaithersburg – October 30, 2025 – Today, Maryland Congresswoman April McClain Delaney announced her re-election campaign, representing the 6th District of Maryland.
“As the proud Representative of Maryland’s amazing 6th District, I have been showing up everywhere and fighting for the safety, health and well-being of everyone in the District – including our 35,000 government workers, our farmers, our first responders, our military and national parks personnel, our hospital workers and healthcare communities and especially our hard working families trying to make ends meet. We must work to lower costs for working families, to protect access to healthcare, to preserve SNAP and hunger assistance programs and to reinforce support for our government and those who serve it. As a mother of four daughters, I’ll never stop fighting for a woman’s right to choose and ensuring women have a seat at the table. My work is grounded by my values and a firm belief in the singular importance of our democracy, my view that we bow to no king, and by the strength, optimism and virtue of our people and our communities.
“Sadly, the intent of this Administration is to ‘Make America Break’ by undermining public trust in our government, in our democratic institutions and in one another – these are not normal times. These lawless, cruel hearted budget cuts and policies are meant to dismantle government and instill fear, and will ultimately result in hurting everyone irrespective of zip code or circumstance. The current shutdown of our federal government, and the continued refusal of our GOP colleagues to engage in bipartisan discussions to prevent millions of Americans from having their healthcare costs skyrocket, has strengthen my resolve to push back against these attacks and to fight for my district. Accordingly, I am filing for re-election.
