Endorsements: April McClain Delaney Endorsed by House Democratic Leadership
GAITHERSBURG, MD – Building on her wave of support across Maryland, April McClain Delaney’s re-election campaign today announced endorsements from House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark and House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar.
These endorsements and sustained momentum come on the heels of polling released just last week which showed McClain Delaney with a commanding lead in the race, despite her opponent spending record sums in the first quarter.
“We need April McClain Delaney back in Congress fighting by our side when Democrats take back the House of Representatives in November,” said Leader Jeffries, Whip Clark and Chair Aguilar. “April McClain Delaney is an effective member of Congress and has earned our full endorsement. We know she is laser-focused on lowering the high cost of living and increasing opportunity across Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.”
McClain Delaney has also secured endorsements from leaders across the sixth district, and the endorsements of Rep. Jamie Raskin, Sen. Chris Van Hollen, Sen. Angela Alsobrooks, and every other Democratic member of Maryland’s federal delegation, as well as Governor Moore, Lt. Governor Miller, and Attorney General Brown. In addition to the unified support she has received from Team Maryland, McClain Delaney also boasts endorsements from labor organizations, the League of Conservation Voters, and Planned Parenthood Action Fund, among others.
